The Challenge
Hops needed a mobile companion app for their hospitality platform that would allow hospitality operators to manage their entire business workflow — from ordering and deliveries to inventory management. While the Hops web platform features a wide range of features, the mobile app would provide a more streamlined and intuitive experience for operators on the go.
My Role
I worked with the Hops team on developing their cross-platform mobile application. Using Flutter and FlutterFlow, I helped build the core ordering and inventory management features, ensuring the app worked seamlessly across both Android and iOS devices.
Key Features Built
- Order Management — Ordering system that allows operators to place, track and manage orders from suppliers
- Menu Items — Easily accessible menu cards and inventory item information, incl. recipe steps, allergens & nutritional information
- Inventory Tracking — Offline count sheets for tracking inventory levels and stock status
- Delivery Management — Deliveries can be accepted and checked for completeness only using the mobile app
- Stock Movements — Operators can create and accept inventory transfers between departments
Technical Approach
The app was built with FlutterFlow with custom Flutter code for performance-critical features. This hybrid approach allowed us to ship features fast while maintaining the quality needed for daily business operations.
